The toy is designed to teach children how to read hours from classic clocks. The board features a clock face with hands that the child can freely rotate. The educator can dictate the hours, and the child is then tasked with setting the hands to indicate the dictated hour. The child can also play independently, as the set includes a notebook with various hours. The child flips through the pages and sets the times found there.
The board also describes the relationships between units of time - how many seconds are in a minute, how many minutes are in a quarter, how many minutes are in an hour, how many hours are in a day, etc. With this information, the child can learn many useful things.
Another element of the toy is two hourglasses, which help the little one understand how long a minute and 5 minutes last.
